exhausted?

Being a mom doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your sleep.

What if... you could get your child to bed at a reasonable hour so you can have some "me time"... WITHOUT the bedtime battles and stressful bedtime routines?

My Sleep Philosophy

The Sleep Sense™ Method was created out of a strong belief that healthy sleep habits make for healthy children. A well-rested child is curious, energetic, happy, playful, and eager to learn. When parents trust me with their little one’s sleep either through one-on-one consultations or webinars, they are placing a great deal of trust in me. I want to let you know that I take this responsibility very seriously.

While there is a lot of controversy out there when it comes to sleep training (based largely around the issue of “crying it out”),  this is not a method that I follow. The Sleep Sense™ Method places so much emphasis on accommodating different parenting styles. The bottom line is that you, as a parent, need to be comfortable with your new sleep plan in order for it to work for your child. My sleep plans are customized to meet the needs of your child and to reach your family’s sleep goals.

Hi, I'm Katie

Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant & Postpartum/ Infant Care Doula

I am the owner and founder of Happily Ever After Sleep Consulting. I live in Wallingford, Pennsylvania with my husband Brian and my two daughters, Sophia and Skylar. They bring us so much joy and I have them to thank for my current career. I know what it’s like to be an exhausted mom. I was working 60 hours a week on top of trying to get dinner on the table and the girls to bed. Bedtime would take forever. I would feed and rock Skylar (9 months at the time) and put her down asleep (most nights it took more than 1 try). Then I would have to lay with Sophia (5 years old at the time) until she was asleep.

Skylar would wake up multiple times a night and often I would have to repeat the whole process again each time she woke up. If things were really bad I would bring her to bed. Sophia would wake up some nights as well and out of pure exhaustion I would let her get in bed with us. No one was sleeping well and something needed to change.

Then I found the Sleep Sense program and it was LIFE CHANGING! After just 3 nights my youngest was putting herself to sleep and sleeping all night long. My oldest was sleeping in her bed and falling asleep independently. My husband was shocked by the results. We saw such an improvement in both of my girls’ temperament and they woke up so happy and well rested. That’s when I decided to help other families that were experiencing this same sleep deprivation.

Sleep is my passion. I love helping families get their little ones sleeping independently through the night so they can have their beds back! Your children need a full night of uninterrupted sleep and so do you! Let’s talk about how a customized sleep plan and follow up support can help get your child sleeping all night. I also love helping and supporting families during the Newborn phase of life as a Postpartum and Infant Care Doula.

Client Love

Katie is amazing! Our baby would only sleep in the bed with us and only for a few hours at a time before we started working with Katie! After only a few days he was sleeping through the night in his crib! He also naps independently in his crib! We complete his bedtime routine and lay him down in his crib awake and he almost always rolls over immediately and goes to sleep. And if he doesn't immediately go to sleep he soothes himself (no crying) and eventually drifts off to sleep. Katie revamped our schedule and helped us refine our bedtime routine, both of which were key to his sleep success!! I honestly cannot praise her enough for saving our sanity!

We are so happy to have found and worked with Katie. I was searching for a sleep consultant who could help us improve our newly turned two year old toddler's sleep. I came across Katie on Instagram and after reading reviews from past clients and families decided to schedule a free phone consult to see if she felt like a fit for our family. Katie listened to our concerns and developed a detailed plan to improve both over night sleep and naps, and we were able to stay in close contact and ask tons of questions along the way via the Rested app. Katie was always extremely quick to respond with thoughts/feedback via text or voice notes or jump on a quick call if needed. My daughter was a "tough client" and definitely threw us some curve balls along the way but Katie rolled with the punches. Although not part of our original plan, we changed course and pivoted from a crib to a toddler floor bed and started seeing some real progress. By the end of our month together, we had successfully dropped our toddler's pacifier, transitioned from frequent contact naps to independent naps in her room, and had her sleeping in her room the entire night (no more co-sleeping out of desperation!). We are so happy with our daughter's progress; I would recommend working with Katie and will likely return as a client to help us establish good sleep habits for our second baby (due soon!) at a much younger age.
